Anchras is a Belgian, EU-grounded private cloud and managed self-hosting company. We run on hardware in the EU, name our software, and document our compliance posture instead of claiming it.
The cloud was supposed to simplify infrastructure. It traded one kind of complexity for another.
Public cloud is fast to start and slow to leave. Egress fees, opaque pricing, shared-tenancy compliance theatre, a jurisdiction you did not choose, and terms that change without notice: the cost of convenience compounds. For organisations in regulated sectors (finance, healthcare, government, energy), the public-cloud model introduces risk that no amount of shared-responsibility documentation can offset.
The alternative, building infrastructure yourself, demands specialists, on-call rotations, hardware refresh cycles, and capital expenditure that competes with the thing you are actually trying to ship. Most teams cannot justify the second route, so they accept the first.
Anchras is the third option. We package the operations work, the curated software, the networking, and the AI governance into one control plane, on hardware you keep ownership of, in a jurisdiction you chose. The infrastructure stays yours; the operational burden does not.

The platform runs in our EU region; the infrastructure work lives with us. Compliance posture is GDPR by jurisdiction and ISO 27001 documented and reviewable; sector-specific frameworks are scoped per engagement, not pre-claimed.

Anchras is aimed at mid-market and SMB organisations operating in finance, healthcare, government, energy, and adjacent regulated sectors across the EU, Belgium and the Benelux first. Where GDPR is a daily reality, where data residency is contractual rather than aspirational, where the right answer to "where is my data" cannot be "in a region we'll add later." Sector-specific framework reviews (NEN 7510 for Dutch healthcare, PCI DSS for payment processing, and others) are scoped per engagement.
